A self-confessed rugby nut, it’s been 20 years since I bought the Company from my father, in what seemed like a good idea at the time. Working in an airport and travel hub environment there is not a lot I have not seen or been involved in problem solving. I work hard to ensure the whole Barden Team has the same ethos to deliver.
Fun Fact: I played in the same rugby Colts side as Tim Rodber (England & British Lions) and taught him everything he knows…
Having trained as an electrical apprentice with Barden’s, I have moved my way up over 17 years to Operations Director, now managing the engineering team.
Lots to do and lots going on all the time means there is never a dull day.
Fun Fact: I share the same birthday as my football idol Paulo di Canio
As the Service Director, Kelly is in charge of supervising various administrative services, including the helpdesk office and contract managers for our key clients.
I have been with Barden’s for 9 years, prior to joining, I worked in Corporate Banking. My clients include Christian Dior, Fat Face, Fortnum & Mason, JD Sports, J D Wetherspoons and Wagamama.
Fun Fact: I once climbed Kilimanjaro for charity.
I have worked for Barden’s for 5 years now starting in the Sub-Contractor Administration Role for the first 3 years. I progressed to Contact Manager 2 years ago and love the team I am working with and strongly believe in Barden’s core values. My clients include Pret A Manger, Caviar House, YO! Sushi, Bottega Veneta, Lacoste & We Know London.
Fun Fact: I ran a girl’s football team for 5 years winning many titles and won a Sports Award myself.
I joined Barden FM in September 2022 having previously worked within the equine industry.
My clients include The Restaurant Group, WHSmith, Eurest and Costa Coffee.
Fun Fact: I have ridden a Camel round a volcano in Lanzarote.
I am qualified project manager who has been working in the construction industry for over 12 years. I have been at Barden FM for over 8 years and during this time I have gained extensive knowledge of airports and railway stations across the UK. I have managed works from small alterations and installations, to full strip outs and complete shop & restaurant fit outs and refurbishments.
I became a member of Barden’s two years ago, just after I finished my A-Levels. I started assisting the other Project Managers but as I have progressed, I now have the responsibility of completing my own projects, including fit outs of new shops and general refurbishments. These projects have been completed for clients such as Wagamama’s, Lush and Travelex.
I joined Barden FM in 2021 and currently co-ordinate all admin duties within the Projects Department. In the world of facilities management no day is the same! This makes each and every day challenging, fun and enjoyable in the great atmosphere we have within our team.
Having worked in local government for more years than she would admit to, Nicola joined the team in April 2022. She brings her honesty, strategic and analytical skills with her and of course a ridiculous passion for spreadsheets.
Fun Fact: Loves singing barbershop and crafting!
I started at Barden FM in the Summer of 2017 as an Office Junior; I was promoted to Helpdesk Manager in 2020. I now manage 7 members of office staff & 4 day engineers and this is continuing to grow adjacent with the Company. One of the main reasons I enjoy managing the Helpdesk, is dealing with all departments, clients, and engineers across the company.
Fun Fact: I have dislocated both of my knees & both shoulders; in total I have had 15 dislocations.
Working in the refrigeration sector since 1992, I have an enduring passion for the industry and participate actively in helping to drive our engineering teams forward via technical thought, leadership and a continuous improvement mindset.
I am a family man with 3 children that take up most of my free time. I enjoy motorcycle riding, binge watching TV and going to the gym.
I am not exceptionally gifted, nor am I incredibly bright, I think I’m only inquisitive.
