LOCATION: Pret A Manger – North Terminal, Gatwick Airport
PROJECT: Installation of refrigeration pipework for newly installed food displays inside the Pret a Manger shop at North Terminal, Gatwick Airport.
OBJECTIVE: To execute a seamless installation of refrigeration pipework, connecting a remote condenser located on the roof to newly installed cold food display cabinets. This installation ensured optimal functionality and efficiency of the refrigeration system, enabling the proper cooling and preservation of food items while maintaining compliance with all safety and airport regulations.
Scope of Completed Works
Supplied to Gatwick and the main site contractor: blueprints, Risk Assessment and Method Statement Completed electrical calculations for the new cabling and the newly required electrical provisions for the remote distribution board situated on the roof Installed electrical connections to the remote condensers on the roof Collaborated with both Gatwick and the primary contractor to arrange the positioning of new roof penetrations, ensuring the seamless pipe run from the roof to the shop Installed the new refrigeration pipework and connected the condensers to the food display units Set-up all connections, pressure tests and installations of 5 new food display cabinets Issued all electrical and refrigeration certifications as required
